Police Authorities Announce Fresh Senior Officer Postings To Boost Command Efficiency
In a move aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and leadership across police commands, the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja, has approved the provisional posting of senior officers to key positions.
According to an internal Police Wireless Message from the Force Secretary (FORSEC), dated 10th October 2025, the Inspector-General of Police ordered the redeployment of senior officers to new duty posts.
Among those affected is COMPOL Miller Gajere Dantawaye, who has been posted to CP FCT, and DECOMPOL Wilson Aniefiok Akpan, who is to assume duties as CP Kogi State, pending the approval of the Police Service Commission (POLSCOM).
The directive emphasises that officers on higher duty posts are not to wear the new rank until their appointments receive official confirmation.
The circular, sighted by our correspondent and classified “MOST/IMMEDIATE,” underscores the Inspector-General’s commitment to ensuring effective policing and leadership continuity across strategic commands nationwide.
