NAF Airstrikes Kill Over 35 Terrorists Near Nigeria Cameroon Border

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has intensified its onslaught against terrorists in the North East, neutralising more than 35 fighters during a precision air interdiction near the Nigeria–Cameroon border.

The strikes, carried out in the early hours of 23 August 2025 under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), followed intelligence reports of a planned attack on ground troops at Kumshe.

Acting swiftly, the Air Component launched successive precision strikes on four identified assembly points, disrupting the terrorists’ movement and logistics.

Ground troops later confirmed the situation around their location had been stabilised after communication was re-established.

Commending the operation, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, hailed the professionalism of the aircrew and assured that the NAF would sustain intelligence-driven missions aimed at degrading terrorist elements threatening Nigeria’s sovereignty.
