Ngige Disowns APC Campaign Poster Featuring His Image

Former Minister of Labour and Productivity, Senator Chris Ngige, has cautioned the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Anambra, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, against using his name or image to solicit votes ahead of the November 8, 2025 election.

Ngige expressed displeasure over campaign posters circulating online, which feature his photograph alongside Ukachukwu and running mate Senator Uche Ekwunife.

In a statement signed by his media aide, Hyggy Obialo, the former Anambra governor described the move as misleading and unauthorised.

According to the statement, Ngige is currently on “sabbatical” from active partisan politics, taking a well-deserved rest after 25 years of public service, and has no involvement in the ongoing campaigns.

He urged those behind the posters to respect his decision to remain outside active politics for now.
