NDDC Commissioner Kyrian Uchegbu Mourns Celebrity Farmer, Hon Amechi Adibuo

The Federal Commissioner representing Imo State on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon Dr Kyrian Chidiebere Uchegbu, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Hon Benjamin Amechi Adibuo fondly known as “General Meche” and celebrated as the Oguta-born “Celebrity Farmer.”

Hon Uchegbu, accompanied by political associates and aides, visited the Adibuo family in Umudei village, Eziorsu community, to console them over the sudden loss of the 50-year-old community leader.

In his heartfelt tribute, Dr Uchegbu urged the bereaved – especially the widow and children to take comfort in the promises of Jesus Christ. “There is hope-filled consolation for every believer, even in death. God’s infinite love and grace still abound among us,” he said.

He described General Meche as a man of hard work, uprightness, and remarkable contributions to youth politics in Oguta and the wider Niger Delta. “It’s not about how long one lives, but what one will be remembered for,” he added.

Joining in the tribute, Hon Chief Hassan Nwauwa praised the late farmer’s dedication to youth mobilisation, leadership, and honesty, praying for God to grant the family the strength to bear the loss.
