President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a series of mourning activities to honour the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away recently.

As part of the events, an expanded Special Session of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will be held on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting is expected to bring together key figures in government, including members of the National Assembly, the Judiciary, and the family of the late former leader.

Earlier in the day, Vice President Kashim Shettima will lead a Federal Government delegation to Daura, Katsina State, for the Third Day prayer at the former President’s residence.

Tributes will continue on Friday, 18th July, with a Special Muslim Prayer Session at the National Mosque, Abuja.

A Christian Service will follow on Sunday, 20th July, in honour of the late leader’s legacy.

The late President Buhari served Nigeria with distinction and leaves behind a nation in mourning and reflection.
