Federal Job Openings: Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo Urges Idemili Youth To Apply For Paramilitary Recruitment
In a promising development for job seekers, the Office of Hon. Uchenna Harris Okonkwo, Member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, has called on eligible constituents to take advantage of the ongoing nationwide recruitment by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).
The recruitment drive, which opens Monday, 14th July 2025 and runs for just three weeks, is targeting suitably qualified Nigerians for full-time appointments across four key paramilitary agencies the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps.
Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, aged between 18 and 35, physically fit, and possess a minimum of five credits in SSCE (including English and Maths). Holders of NCE, OND, HND, B.Sc. and higher qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
Speaking through his Head of Media and Strategic Communication, Comrade Kenechi Okoye, Hon. Okonkwo urged young people in his constituency to “seize this opportunity to build careers in national service,” adding that “computer literacy is an added advantage and application is completely free.”
Applicants are to visit recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, create an account, and select only one agency to apply to.
After submission, candidates from Idemili are required to WhatsApp their details including application number and NIN to Comrade Okoye on 08166085603 to request a recommendation letter from Hon. Okonkwo’s office.
