Lead With Professionalism, Purpose, IGP Egbetokun Charges New Police Commissioners
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, has charged newly posted Commissioners of Police across Nigeria to demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and quality leadership in their new roles, as part of renewed efforts to tackle internal security threats.
The strategic deployments, which take immediate effect, affect key states including Borno, Cross River, Jigawa, Ondo, and Osun, where new Commissioners have been appointed to bolster security operations.
Among those deployed are CP Naziru D. Abdulmajid to Borno, CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua to Cross River, CP Dahiru Mohammed to Jigawa, CP Adebowale Lawal to Ondo, and CP Ibrahim Gotan to Osun State Command. Others include CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo, who moves to the Department of Training and Development at Force Headquarters, and CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin, now heading General Investigation at FCID Annex, Gombe.
According to a statement from Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the appointments reflect the IGP’s commitment to enhancing the operational effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force through purposeful leadership.
The IGP reassured the public of the Force’s unwavering resolve to protect lives and property and called on citizens to support the Police in the shared mission of combating crime and ensuring national security.
