APC Releases Timetable For 2025 Bye-Elections, Pegs Form At N20 Million

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released its schedule of activities and timetable for the 2025 bye-elections covering 2 Senatorial Districts, 5 House of Representatives seats, and 9 State House of Assembly constituencies.

According to the timetable signed by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, the process will begin with the notice of election to state chapters on Monday, 30th June 2025.

Revalidation and update of the membership register will take place from Tuesday, 1st July to Saturday, 5th July. Only members whose names are on the register and are up to date in the payment of dues over the past year will be eligible to participate.

Sales of Expression of Interest, Nomination, and Delegate forms will run from Monday, 7th to Thursday, 10th July.

Aspirants are expected to submit completed forms by Thursday, 10th July, while screening of aspirants is scheduled for Monday, 14th July.

The party will elect its ward delegates on Thursday, 17th July, with the primary elections holding on Saturday, 19th July.

Results ratification and final list of candidates will be completed by Saturday, 26th July, paving the way for campaigns to begin on the same day.

The climax of the electoral process will be the election itself, scheduled for Saturday, 16th August 2025.

Form fees have been pegged at ₦20 million for Senate aspirants, ₦10 million for House of Representatives, and ₦2 million for State Assembly hopefuls.

However, female aspirants and persons living with disabilities (PWD) are exempt from paying for the Expression of Interest Form, while youths between the ages of 25 and 40 are eligible for a 50% discount on the Nomination Form.

The party also clarified that only members with valid financial records dating back at least three months will be allowed to participate in the delegate congresses.
