NAF Pounds Terrorists In Buratai, Destroys Gun Trucks in Daring Airstrike
In a bold and decisive operation in the early hours of Wednesday, 5th June 2025, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the ongoing Operation HADIN KAI, delivered a crushing blow to terrorist fighters operating in Buratai, Borno State.
According to a statement released by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at NAF Headquarters, the airstrike was the result of credible intelligence which revealed insurgents attempting to escape with four gun trucks.
Surveillance assets swiftly tracked the movement of the terrorists, who were regrouping along a key transit route.
Seizing the moment, NAF air platforms launched a precision strike on the convoy, neutralising several fighters and destroying two of the trucks—both reportedly laden with vital supplies.
“The operation underscores the commitment and effectiveness of the Nigerian Air Force in supporting national security efforts and degrading terrorist capabilities in the region,” Air Commodore Ejodame stated.
While the full extent of the damage inflicted is still being assessed, the successful engagement marks another significant victory in the ongoing fight against insurgency in Nigeria’s northeast.
Further updates are expected as Operation HADIN KAI continues its mission to eliminate threats and restore peace across affected communities.
