Nigeria Congratulates Cameroon On Independence Anniversary
Nigeria has extended heartfelt congratulations to Cameroon as it marks its Independence Anniversary.
According to a statement signed by the Spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed best wishes to his Cameroonian counterpart, Lejeune Mbella Mbella.
Ambassador Tuggar highlighted the deep-rooted ties between both nations, describing Nigeria and Cameroon as “very friendly neighbours” united by shared values, regional cooperation, and common aspirations for peace and prosperity.
He commended Cameroon’s steadfast efforts in promoting stability in the region, particularly in the fight against terrorism and insecurity. “Nigeria remains committed to supporting Cameroon’s journey towards unity, peace, and sustainable development,” he said.
As Cameroon celebrates this milestone, Nigeria reaffirmed its readiness to strengthen bilateral relations and collaborate further within the African Union and other international platforms.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes the Government and people of Cameroon a peaceful and prosperous Independence Anniversary.
