Zamalek Powers Into Final After Epic Five-Set Thriller

Defending champions, Zamalek of Egypt, kept their title hopes alive with a nail-biting 3-2 victory over Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) in the semi-final of the African Women’s Volleyball Inter-Club Championship at the Indoor Hall, Package B of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
The thrilling encounter, which ended 25-23, 28-26, 19-25, 24-26, 15-12, had fans on the edge of their seats as both teams displayed high-level skill, grit, and determination.
Backed by a cheering crowd, the KPC ladies gave their all but fell just short against the experienced Egyptian side.
Spectators hailed the electrifying contest, describing it as a testament to the growth of volleyball in Africa. “This is the kind of volleyball we want to see. It was intense, passionate, and world-class,” a fan said.
Zamalek now marches into their third straight final, eyeing a historic third consecutive title after their triumphs in 2023 and 2024.
