FRSC Corps Marshal Urges Caution As Muslims Celebrate Eid-el-Fitr
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the 2025 Ramadan fast, urging them to sustain the spirit of sacrifice beyond the holy month for national unity and progress.
In his Sallah message, Mohammed emphasised that Ramadan nurtures love, sacrifice, and good neighbourliness which are values that should extend beyond the festivities to promote peace and patriotism in Nigeria.
He also called on motorists to drive with patience and discipline, reminding them that the FRSC has deployed personnel nationwide to ensure safe travels during the holiday period.
“I call on all Nigerians to join the campaign for safer roads by avoiding speeding, overloading, and wrong-way driving,” he stated.
Mohammed praised FRSC officers for their dedication to road safety despite challenges posed by reckless drivers.
He assured them of the agency’s commitment to improving their welfare and capacity development and appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration for supporting road safety initiatives.
As the Eid celebrations bring increased human and vehicular movement, the Corps Marshal urged the public to remain vigilant and report emergencies via the National Emergency Line: 122 or FRSC National Traffic Radio, 107.1 FM for prompt response.
