ECOWAS Parliament Hails Tinubu’s Leadership In West Africa

The First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament and Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to regional stability and economic integration in West Africa.
Speaking at the opening of the 2025 First Extraordinary Session of the ECOWAS Parliament in Lagos, Senator Barau described President Tinubu who chairs the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government as a “beacon of inspiration” and a “pillar of progress.”
He praised Tinubu’s leadership for fostering regional solidarity and confidence in West Africa’s shared future.
“The ECOWAS Parliament remains deeply grateful for his continued support and guidance,” Barau stated.
The senator also expressed gratitude to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for hosting the session and reaffirmed the ECOWAS Parliament’s commitment to regional unity and development.
“Through our collaborative efforts, we can strengthen our region and work towards shared goals of prosperity and progress,” he added.
The 2025 Extraordinary Session serves as a platform for West African lawmakers to advance regional cooperation and economic growth.
