In a bid to bolster Nigeria’s diplomatic and economic footprint, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, is set to embark on a high-level working visit to the United Kingdom.

The visit underscores Nigeria’s commitment to fostering strategic partnerships in trade, investment, technology, media, and academia, as the nation positions itself for global economic competitiveness.

During his visit, Ambassador Tuggar will engage in key discussions at Chatham House, shedding light on Nigeria’s evolving foreign policy.

He will also attend a high-profile technology and trade roundtable at the House of Commons, aiming to drive investment and economic diversification.

The Minister, is also expected to meet with financial giants JP Morgan and British International Investment (BII) to explore opportunities to attract capital and strengthen Nigeria’s financial sector.

Beyond economic diplomacy, the visit will focus on security collaboration, intelligence-sharing, and educational partnerships.

Ambassador Tuggar is expected to hold strategic talks with UK government officials and engage with top academic institutions, including the University of Cambridge and the African Centre.

This visit is an indication of a renewed push by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to translate diplomatic engagements into tangible benefits for national security, economic development, and global positioning.
