PSC Appoints Moshood Jimoh as Lagos State Commissioner of Police

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has approved the appointment of Olohundare Moshood Jimoh as the new Commissioner of Police for the Lagos State Command.
The announcement was made today, Monday, 17th February 2025.
Before his appointment, CP Jimoh served as the Commissioner of Police for Ports Authority, Eastern Ports.
His extensive career in the Nigeria Police Force includes roles as Force Public Relations Officer, Deputy Commissioner at the Airport Police, and Deputy Commissioner for both Finance & Administration and General Investigation.
Jimoh, a native of Kwara State, has undergone specialised training in counter-terrorism, maritime security, and policing strategies in the United States, China, South Korea, and Sudan.
His expertise in law enforcement earned him the prestigious Presidential Award for Public Relations Personality of the Year.
The appointment was confirmed in the presence of PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), Justice Adamu Paul Galmuje (rtd), and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd).
CP Jimoh is expected to bring his wealth of experience to the Lagos Command, strengthening security efforts in Nigeria’s commercial capital.
