FRSC Boss Commends Sokoto Government, Pledges Boost Of Staff Welfare

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has applauded the Sokoto State Government for its unwavering support towards road safety initiatives in the state.

Speaking at the Sokoto Sector Command during a combined staff parade, he emphasised that the government’s goodwill would further motivate personnel to enhance service delivery.

Mohammed commended the state’s commitment to road construction and rehabilitation, noting its role in reducing traffic violations and accidents.

He also appreciated the government’s donation of a patrol vehicle, describing it as a testament to Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s dedication to road safety.

Reaffirming FRSC’s commitment to staff welfare, the Corps Marshal praised officers for their dedication during the 2024 end-of-year patrol and assured them of continued capacity development and promotions.

He however, warned against indiscipline and urged officers to uphold accountability and excellence in their duties.

The Corps Marshal expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for supporting FRSC’s logistics, and vowed to strengthen the Corps for improved service delivery.

Mohammed also condemned the persistent issues of overloading and fuel scooping after tanker crashes, calling for collective action to curb such dangerous practices.

The Corps Marshal’s visit to Sokoto continues with scheduled meetings with Governor Aliyu and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III.
