NRFF Suspends Seven Rugby Players Over Misconduct

The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has suspended seven players from Edo and Delta Rugby Clubs for disciplinary breaches during the 2023/24 league season. The suspensions follow a fight during matches at Adolor College, Benin City, prompting an investigation by the NRFF Disciplinary Committee.

Players affected include Eselekhomwen Nelson Hope, Christian Eleberi, Shunamite Okorie, Abovwo Imoisi, Chioma Nwankpa, Mene Augustar (all of Edo RFC), and Isidor Okafor (Delta RFC).

Each player will serve a two-match suspension starting from the Super Six playoffs and extending into the 2024/25 season. The NRFF reaffirmed its commitment to fostering discipline and maintaining sportsmanship in Nigerian rugby.
