As the saying goes, ‘ give honour to whom honour is due’. In line with this, former Local Government Chairmanship candidate for Isiala Mbano LGA under the banner of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chief Collins Osuagwu has been honoured by the Christian Men’s Association (CMO) of the Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish, Owerri.

The exemplary leadership award in recognition of his contributions towards the growth and development of. the christian faith and humanity in general took place last Sunday, December 22.
Receiving the award, the highly elated Chief Osuagwu who has received over 100 awards from different secular organizations, described the award from the Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish Owerri as a most cherished one given the position of the church as God’s representative on earth.
Chief Osuagwu who has dedication his life to upholding the christian faith, promised to do more towards the efforts of the church to reach all for Christ.
He thanked members of the Christian Men’s Association (CMO) for finding him worthy of the honour and promised to uphold the trust reposed in him by the church.
In his speech, the president of the Catholic Men’s Association (CMO) Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish Owerri, Dr. Uche Ukaozo described Chief Collins Osuagwu as a role model and deserving of the honour bestowed upon him by the church. Dr. Ukaozo also noted that Chief Osuagwu had greatly involved himself in activities geared towards youth empowerment and development and church building.
Also speaking, the CMO Chairman of Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish – St Anthony station, Hon. Chijioke Ekeji encouraged the youth to emulate the footsteps of Chief Collins Osuagwu and walk in uprightness of heart in serving God with their resources.
Hon. Ekeji described Chief Collins Osuagwu as someone whose christian upbringing had always influenced all his activities both in business and in all his relationships, adding that his christian principles and values had sustained and prospered him in all areas of life.
