ECOWAS Strategises On Improving Humanitarian Interventions in Member States.

The Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, is working towards improving the coordination, effectiveness and accountability of regional humanitarian interventions.

It is on this backdrop, that it is holding a Capacity Building Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation, and Financial Reporting of ECOWAS Humanitarian Interventions for ECOWAS Member States focal points in charge of Humanitarian response and Disaster management and ECOWAS staff.

The 3- day workshop holding in Suleja, Niger State, Federal Republic of Nigeria aims to improve the coordination, effectiveness and accountability of regional humanitarian actions in member states.

The Workshop organised by the Department in charge of Human Development and Social Affairs of the ECOWAS Commission through the Directorate of Humanitarian and Social Affairs commenced today 5th November, 2024 and will end on the 8th of November.
