FG Reassures Diplomatic Corps Of Determination To Better The Lots Of Nigerians

In its efforts to address the economic challenges of the country, the Federal Government of Nigeria has called on the diplomatic community for understanding and collaboration.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar and his counterpart in-charge of Information and National Orientation, Mohamed Idris made the call while briefing Members of the Diplomatic Corps on the Programmes and Policies of the Government in Abuja.

In his speech, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, explained that government has put various measures in place to address the challenges facing Nigeria and Nigerians, and as such, will not tolerate foreign interference in its domestic affairs and that of its citizens.

He emphasised that though Nigeria values its relationships with other countries but will not tolerate external interference.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on his part, said the Tinubu-led Administration’s primary focus is to correct poor policies and dysfunctional choices that have historically hindered Nigeria’s progress, with bold and effective solutions and not to impose hardship on Nigerians.

According to Idris, the President is determined to implement reforms that would drive sustainable growth and improve the life of all citizens after the current temporary challenges.

The Spokesperson for the Department of State Services, DSS, Dr Peter Afunanya assured the Diplomatic Community that Government has launched an investigation into the violence that occurred during the #EndBadGovernance protest so as to identify and bring to justice all those responsible.
