It was indeed a galore of celebration and joy as members of Assemblies of God Church Owerri District, relatives and friends gathered to celebrate with Rev. and Rev. Mrs. B.M.N Onumajuru as they retired from active service.
 In his preaching, the General Superentendent, Rev. Dr. A. U Amadi and Guest Minister, urged people to remain faithful to God, even as they render service to humanity.
He described Rev. and Rev. Mrs. Onumajuru as true examples of faithfulness to God, having persevered in their services to God, urging them to continue to do good, wishing them long life and more prosperity.
Adding his voice, the CEO of Systematic Banking Technologies Ltd, Lagos, IB Okafor , expressed happiness over their retirement celebration of 43 years in service without murmuring having remained steadfast.
Okafor who applauded the celebrants, maintained that “43 years in vineyard of God is not an easy task but today I witnessed the celebration of true man of God having known him for years since 2003 when he was pastoring a church at Umuomu Mbieri, he is good and a man of Grace”.
In an interview, National President, Egbu Brethren Association, Rev. Dr. Precious Egres, showered praise on Onumajuru and prayed to God to continue to straighten him.
With the first and 4th sons of the celebrants expressing satisfaction for the effective service their parents rendered to God, praising God for a strong life throughout their remarkable journey, saying they touched countless lives, guiding souls towards salvation and inspiring a new generation of leaders.
“Their selflessness, compassion and tireless efforts have made a lasting impact on the lives of many”, they said.
With Rev. Onumarjuru Boniface Maduabuchi Nwambo, positing that “our hearts are full of joy in Thanksgiving to God for his goodness and mercy for all these years, let his name alone be praised”.
However, while praising and thanking God for seeing them through, the celebrants reflected that after “43 years of faithful service, we can proudly look back on our accomplishments, knowing that our labor of love had borne fruit. May our retirement be filled with joy, peace and continued blessings as we move forward and enjoy our fruits of labor, we pray for you as you celebrate with us on this faithful occasion, may God bless you more give you the grace to serve in spirit and truth, hard work pays and determination, dedication are the answer” they maintained
