Former Anambra Governor, Ezeife Begins Final Journey With Activities In Abuja

Activities heralding the final journey of the first Executive Governor of Anambra State, the Late Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife, has commenced in Abuja with a service of songs at the National Christian Centre.
It was an evening of songs, teachings about life and after life as well as pouring of accolades for the deceased.
Speaker after speaker at the event, including the Emeritus Archbishop of Abuja Catholic Archdiocese, Archbishop John Cardinal Onaiyekan, Major Emmanuel Igboanusi of the Salvation Army, Chairman of the national Burial Committee, Chief Okwesilieze Nwodo among others gave messages of hope to the Ezeife Dynasty, Ndigbo and Nigerians in general.
Ezeife’s daughter, Dr. Ogelue Ezeife-Ugorji, gave a brief talk about her father who she described as a true pillar.
Some of the guests who spoke with ABS, including Jude Nnam, Honourable Peter Aniekwe, Chief Edozie Ezeugwa, Chief Ifedi Okwenna and a host of others were full of encomium for the deceased who they said lived for others and wondered who will take after him as the voice of Ndigbo.
Other activities like the life and times of Dr Ezeife popularly known as “Okwadike” and nights of Tributes will follow before the Burial in Igbo-Ukwu on Saturday the 20th of April, 2024.
