Nigeria Air Force Set To Boost Firepower With Newly Acquired T-129 ATAK Helicopters

The newly acquired T-129 ATAK helicopters and King Air 360i aircraft of the Nigerian Air Force, NAF, is to be inducted on 6th February, 2024 at the NAF Base, Makurdi, Benue State.

The induction ceremony to be performed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is the Special Guest of Honour, but will be represented by the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, signifies a major boost to Nigeria’s national defense capability under the current dispensation.

A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Nigerian Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, stressed that the new platforms would enhance NAF’s firepower and alongside sister services and other security agencies would jointly confront the various security challenges in the country.
