Commander 35 Artillery Brigade, Aminu, Quenches Thirst Of Alamala People
The Commander 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Mohammed Tajudeen Aminu, has commissioned a solar powered borehole in Alamala, in Abeokuta North LGA of Ogun state, the host community of the Brigade as part of the Civil Military Cooperation (CIMIC) activities for Exercise STILL WATERS three.
The Baale of Alamala, had requested for a borehole during the Brigade Commander’s visit on 20th September 2023 after complaiNing that water is the greatest challenge faced by the Community and this project was carried out in fulfilment to that plea.
In his remarks, Brigadier General Aminu noted that the project is part of the activities undertaken by the Brigade to improve on the existing civil military cooperation within the Brigade Area of Responsibility.
The Baale of Alamala, Chief Adeyemi Akeem Atanda, in his vote of thanks, appreciated the Commander on behalf of the community for making the project a reality and assured him that the borehole will be put to good use.
In another development, the Commander flagged off a free medical outreach at Owode Town Hall in Yewa South LGA of Ogun state which targeted about 1,000 beneficiaries.
The medical outreach included free medical consultations, general body and BP check, testing of blood sugar, eye test distribution of mosquito nets as well as provision of reading glasses amongst others.
In his speech, the Oba of Owode, Chief Oba (Rev) Akindele who was represented by Chief Nojeeb expressed gratitude to the Commander for making Owode his choice for the conduct of the medical outreach.
