Gunmen kill security operatives, burn trucks in Imo

Residents of Umualumaku in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State on Tuesday were shocked with sudden attack on security operatives by suspected gunmen.
A source told newsmen that they saw not less than eight dead bodies  of joint task force security operatives, which include  soldiers, police, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps.
The attack which has generated dear and tension among residents of the area and adjoining communities, reportedly took place in the morning hours.
At the scene of burnt security trucks carrying the joint security task force team, the bodies of the dead operatives were seen inside their vehicles that were set on fire by their assailants.
A resident of the community who refused to give his name said  there is tension and confusion in the community over the incident.
Police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, confirmed the development but did not give details to the media at the time of filing the report.
