– Pays courtesy visit to running mate, Chinyere Ekomaru
As the 2023 Imo governorship election draws closer, a group better known as Chinyere Ekomaru Integrity Movement, has endorsed the governor of the State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for a second term.
The members of the group, who made their position known during a solidarity/ courtesy visit to their Principal, who is Uzodimma’s running mate, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, at the APC Presidential campaign office, recently, described the Uzodimma/Ekomaru fixture as a perfect arrangement, saying that they have all it takes to move the State forward.
Speaking, the National facilitator, Sir Samuel Durugo, popularly known as Obereagu, said, “We, the aforementioned political structure that cut across the 27 local governments of Imo State, unanimously endorsed our governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma (Onwa), and his capacity running mate, Lady Barr. Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru for the election. They are perfect fixtures for the November 11, 2023 governorship election in Imo State, and we are solidly behind them”
Presenting his address, the State Coordinator of the group, Hon. Nwosu Timothy, expressed profound gratitude to governor Uzodimma, for choosing their Principal, Lady Ekomaru, as his running mate.
Congratulating Lady Ekomaru, on the account of her selection as running mate, the group charged her to be focused and determined to the struggle, as they are optimistic that they will certainly record a landslide victory in the November 11 election.
He assured the APC governorship running mate of their readiness to work for them during the election, saying that they have already started mobilizing people for the election.
Responding, Lady Ekomaru, who expressed overwhelming joy over the visit, thanked the leadership of the group for seeing reasons to identify with them, and promised to convey their message to her boss, Senator Hope Uzodimma, the executive governor of Imo State.
Lady Ekomaru advised the leadership of the group to ensure that every member is proactive in the sensitization of people at all levels, particularly LGA and Ward levels, stating that it is what will determine victory at the polls.
She promised that they would not disappoint the people of the State if they eventually win the election, and appealed to the Imo electorate to vote for them massively.
The highlight of the event is the official presentation of a portrait to the APC running mate, Lady Chinyere Ekomaru, by the National facilitator, Sir. Samuel Durugo.
