The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje says the unabating insecurity situation across the country will soon be brought under control as the president is about deploying technology to tackle insecurity.
Dr Gabduje disclosed this while receiving a delegation of North Central APC Elders Forum who paid him a courtesy visit at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja today.
Dr. Ganduje noted that the President has agreed to employ technology in the management of security in Nigeria to improve the response and preparedness of military officers to emerging security concerns particularly the forests which he adjudged to have become cities for bandits.
This, according to the APC chairman, President Tinubu is fully conscious the problems and is ready to make the institutions stronger including the Army, Air Force, the Navy, the DSS, Civil Defense even the Nigeria Intelligence Agency, NIA.
The leader of the forum, General Lawrence Onoja, on his part, said that emphasis should be on North Central owing to the protracted insecurity across the region.
According to him, the North Central zone has witnessed the most prolonged state of insecurity in the fourth republic mainly in the form of terrorist and banditry attacks, with adverse consequences on the social cohesion of the people, Food Security and Education among others.
He urged the APC chairman to use his good offices to help and encourage the development of new strategies that will address the security challenges once and for all and reeled out possible actions that could engender unity and progress in the party to include transparency in administration and setting up of reconciliation committee to unify the party.
