Following the death of Dame Dorothy Nsonma Ihedioha, mother to former Imo State Governor, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha, Onu Igbo Ndigbo Gburugburu, Chief Engr Ejike Iwu, has sent a message of condolence to the chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In the message which was made available to newsmen, Chief Iwu who is the traditional mouthpiece of Ndigbo, described the late Dame Ihedioha as a virtuous woman. He thanked God for giving Igboland and Mbaise nation in particular Mama Ihedioha to be the mother of the political stalwart.
“I thank God for giving us a woman that gave us a son like Rt Hon Ihedioha. A woman that trained our amiable son, a sweet mother who was there for Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha”, he stated.
Onu Igbo Ndigbo Gburugburu, the former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives to take heart for such is life, adding that God will grant him the fortitude to bear the demise of his mother and the vacuum her exit has created.
Chief Iwu stated that after overcoming the pain occasioned by his loss of the governorship seat in Imo and also the injustice which made him to withdraw from the PDP governorship race for 2023, the death of Mama Ihedioha has brought back pains.
Continuing, the traditional mouthpiece of Ndigbo urged Ihedioha to stand firm as a man and remember he is a son of Mbaise nation.
Onu Igbo Ndigbo Gburugburu said on behalf of all people that have lost their parents, he is consoling Ihedioha to cheer up as late Dame Ihedioha will rise on the resurrection morning when all will meet to part no more.
Late Dame Ihedioha died on Thursday 20th April, 2023 at the age of 90.
