Troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN have continued its onslaught against crime and criminality in their A
area of operation.
The troops had on 24 July 2022 in a clearance operation arrested three suspected gun runners at Shimakar village Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The suspects, all males namely; Messers Julius Simon (alias Bagga) aged 37, Wolta Zambai, aged 45 and Iliya Peter (alias Doubok) 27 years are currently in custody as investigations continue into their criminal activities.
A statement signed by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Bernard Oyeuko, said on the same day, troops arrested two kidnappers; Alhaji Musa Usman aged 27 and Adam Mohammed 25 years at Barkin Ladi, Plateau State.
The statement noted that the suspects have already confessed to having carried out several kidnapping activities in the general area including the kidnap of one Master Jeremiah Elijah a 6 year old on 21st 1
July 2022 and suspects are undergoing further interrogation.
It also disclosed that the military high command commended the troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN and encouraged the general public to assist troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities within their localities.
