The new Minister of State, for Science, Technology and Innovation, FMSTI, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh has assumed duty in Abuja.
Chief Ikoh, who was the immediate past commissioner for Industry and Technology in Abia State, commended President Muhammed Buhari for finding him worthy to be appointed Minister of State in the ministry adding that he is now in FMSTI to contribute his quota by bringing his wealth of experiences to moving the Ministry forward.
The Minister asked the staff and management of the ministry for their maximum cooperation in order to move Nigeria to a greater heights.
According to him, STI is from bottom to up,which means that the ministry must go into more diversification so as to ensure quick development of the country.
A statement signed by the Deputy Director Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Atuora Obed, noted, the permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mrs. Minilola Udoh had earlier appealed to the Minister to use his influences to improve the affairs of the ministry and assured him of the staff and management’s cooperation adding that welfare of the staff should be paramount to enhance their performance.
