Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has emerged the flag bearer of the People’s àqàw¹qqqqDemocratic Party, PDP, after defeating other contenders in the party’s presidential primaries.
Atiku polled 371 votes out of the 763 total votes cast followed by the governor of Rivers State, Nyeso Wike, who polled 237 votes in the election, while former Senate President, Bukola Saraki got 70 votes.
From indications, Atiku got 134 votes higher than his closest rival Wike.
Udom Emmanuel, Bala Mohammed, and Anyim Pius Anyim polled 32, 20 and 14 votes respectively while 12 votes were void whereas, Mohammed Dee, got one vote.
