Over 150 Bishops from the 16 West African countries are to be hosted by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria, CBCN, at a week-long Reunion of Episcopal Conference of West Africa (RECOWA) in Abuja.
The Conference, with the theme “Fratelli Tutti: Path to Build Brotherhood and Sustainable Peace in West Africa.” will hold at the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria in Abuja from Monday, 2nd May to Monday, 9th May 2022.
A statement signed by the National Director of Social Communications, Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, Abuja, Very Rev. Fr. Michael Nsikak Umoh, said the event will commence with an opening ceremony at the ECOWAS Secretariat in Asokoro, Abuja, on Tuesday 3rd May 2022 at 10am.
The statement also noted that the Conference; will be supported by Heads of Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ambassadors, Governors, and other dignitaries of Church and State.
