Former Deputy Chairman Nigerians in Dispora, Mr. Victor Ugoh, has scored the Chief of Defense Staff Gen. Lucky Irabor and other service chiefs high for fighting insecurity in the country.
Ugoh, therefore, advised Nigerians to ignore the recent calls by some Nigerians for the sack of Gen. Irabor and other security chiefs in the country.
Ugoh, in a telephone interview on Friday said that such calls were coming from people who were ill informed about the operations of the military.
While acknowledging the fact that insecurity is everywhere in the world, including the United States, Ugoh said that the Nigerian security operatives by rating, are doing well especially, in repelling series of attacks against them and formations.
Ugoh, added that although insecurity is a worldwide affair including Western nations, including the U.S. where he lives, the service chiefs had performed professionally well, arguing that most Nigerians were not informed about the successes recorded in that regard, advising that the critics should not base their argument on the stories on the bandits intoto.
The group’s chieftain however pointed out that in the areas and intellegence gathering, Nigeria was yet to explore the potentials due to lack of resources.
He advised Nigerians to be at alert, adding that if the Federal Government acquires necessary weapons, there wouldn’t be success without information from the people.
Ugoh advised Nigerians to report to the security agencies of any suspicious movement arround them.
