Members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, led by the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, have

received instruments of office from the immediate-past Chairman of the Party’s National Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe State, Honourable Mai Mala Buni during a handover ceremony at the APC National Secretariat on Wednesday.

Speaking while handing over, Governor Mai Mala Buni, congratulated the new executive for their victory at the National Convention saying the Caretaker Committee did their best to ensure the Party ended well at the National Convention.

He reminded them that as members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Party, they should be mindful that the task is enormous especially as the Party will soon start its nomination processes.

Governor Buni, said the Caretaker Committee did its best in the membership registration exercise as they have recorded 70% success with a bigger and larger political party with over 41 million membership.

On his part, the National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, dedicated their victory as the National Working Committee to God and President Muhammadu Buhari saying only God could make such things happen.

He acknowledged on behalf of the new NWC that it is not going be a easy time for them as the coming days would be a test of how stable the party is.

The Chairman, called on members of the party to be aware that they should start planning on how to win the general election as a party promising that they will work day and night to achieve victory.

He also.promised that they will work collectively as a team since he cannot deliver alone but reminded them that loyalty is the price they all have to pay as the country is greater than any one of us and the party is bigger than any member of the party.

The APC Chairman also condemned in strong terms the Kaduna train attack, saying it is unfortunate that it happened and the exact figures of casualty is yet unknown but as the ruling party, they sympathize with family and relatives of those who lost their loved ones.

According to him, they will face the situation more squarely by looking beyond terrorism as something must be amiss somewhere to support the government in different ways for the fight is no longer a conventional war so it is difficult to pass judgment.
