Imo: Akabor community jubilates as Eze Okorocha receives Staff of Office

The people of Akabor autonomous community in Ahiazu Mbaise local government area of Imo state are now in a very happy mood as their chosen monarch HRH Eze Lucky Nwaeze Okorocha received his Staff of Office from the government of Imo state after a long battle.
Speaking to newsmen recently at his palatial mansion in Umueze village of Akabor autonomous community, Eze Lucky Okorocha expressed his joy over the throne and the staff of office given to him by the Almighty God and the government of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma. Eze Lucky Okorocha, the Ezeali 2 of Akabor autonomous community said his people chose him at a time like this to lead them to their promise Land. He said some individuals were trying to use dubious means to divide his kingdom but God through the instrumentality of Imo government stopped them and restored the kingdom to him. He narrative that after the demise of his former King, Late Eze D.O .Eke their constitution said it will become the turn of Umueze village which eventually is his village and his people unanimously chose him to represent them and God answered their prayers and made it possible despite the actions of disgruntled elements in the community.
“Our constitution said that Ezeship of my community is rotatory and will rotate among the eight villages in Akabor autonomous community,” he stated.

The monarch noted that he is the right person for the throne and promised to bring development to his community.
“I believe that I am the right person for the position, I have been developing my community with my own money and will do more now that I am the King.”
He thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma for approving a 5 kilometre road for his Community and for appointing sons and daughters of his community into his cabinet.
The newly installed monarch promised to bring his idea to boost the quality of traditional rulership in Imo state.
” I will bring my idea to boost the quality of traditional rulership in Imo state and with the constant meetings and ideas of traditional rulers they will turn out stronger.

One of the elders of the community, Mr Anyanwu Donatus said the Kingship of Akabor autonomous community remains rotatory and not hereditary and thanked their new monarch for heeding to their call and mounting the throne and prayed God to lead him into a successful reign.

Adding his voice, a clergy man in the community, Pastor Anthony Asimole said the royal father has done well for their community in terms of Security, road construction, welfare, employment, peace and unity etc. He said Eze Okorocha singlehandedly bought forty 40 security gadgets(radio) to ensure security of lives and property. He also built a modern tower for his community to curb insecurity. ” We are very happy to have him as our monarch,” he stated.

Mr Ubochi Opara ( ebekuo dike) of Akabor said the royal father is full of wisdom adding that they chose him because it is their turn to produce the next Eze. Ubochi noted that Eze Okorocha donated buses to the churches in their locality for evangelism, gave unrefundable money to women for their businesses, graded our roads and that was why the Nzes, women, PGs, youths agreed that he will be enthroned as their Eze.
Others personalities present at the event, Engr. Christopher Madu, Chief Emmanuel Aku etc.
