The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, has brought veteran journalist and former Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council Chairman, Amos Dunia, into his 2027 campaign team as Special Adviser on Public Affairs.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement signed by the Director of Strategic Communications of the Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation (MDPCO), Richard Ihediwa, on Friday.
Dunia, a journalist with experience across broadcast and print media, has worked with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), New Nigerian Newspapers, The Sun and Blueprint Newspapers.
He is also a co-founder of Forefront Magazine and online portal and previously served as National Consultant of the NUJ on politics and union matters.
According to the campaign organisation, Dunia will deploy his experience in journalism, public communication and media relations to support the campaign’s messaging and public affairs strategy.
He joins other professionals working to promote the Makinde/Daura campaign’s “Reset Nigeria” message ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The campaign also called on APM leaders, members and supporters to remain committed to its stated objective of promoting national stability, cohesion and economic prosperity.
