Security Forces Cut Off Bandits’ Supply Chain, Arrest Suspected Logistics Supplier In Zamfara
Cutting off logistics networks is increasingly becoming a key strategy in Nigeria’s fight against banditry, as security agencies intensify intelligence-led operations to weaken criminal groups.
Security operatives comprising troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a suspected logistics supplier to armed bandits in Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The suspect was intercepted while allegedly transporting communication devices and other essential supplies believed to be destined for bandits operating around the Bagega axis.
Security sources described the arrest as a major breakthrough, noting that disrupting the flow of supplies and communication equipment would significantly reduce the operational capacity of criminal gangs and support ongoing efforts to dismantle their network.
Investigations are ongoing as security agencies intensify efforts to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected supply chain.
