Radda Hails Troops As Rescue Of Late General’s Wife Boosts Confidence In Security Efforts
The successful rescue of the wife of a former military chief has reinforced growing public confidence in ongoing security operations against banditry and kidnapping in Nigeria’s North-West.
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, visited Mrs Amina Rabe Abubakar, wife of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar, at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, following her rescue by troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
Mrs Abubakar was freed after troops engaged her abductors in a fierce confrontation during a coordinated military operation.
During the visit, Governor Radda praised the bravery, professionalism and commitment of the security personnel involved, describing the operation as a significant achievement in the fight against insecurity.
He said the successful rescue had strengthened public trust in government efforts and collaboration with the Armed Forces to restore peace across Katsina State and the wider North-West region.
The governor also reaffirmed his administration’s support for security agencies as they intensify operations against bandits, kidnappers and other criminal elements threatening lives and livelihoods.
The rescue is being celebrated as another major success for Operation FANSAN YAMMA and a clear demonstration of the determination of Nigerian security forces to protect citizens.
