‎In a region where development projects often symbolise hope and stability, residents of Biu and Shani communities in Borno State are beginning to see tangible transformation through constituency projects facilitated by the member representing Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Shani and Bayo Federal Constituency, Muktar Aliyu Betara.

‎A delegation from the National Secretariat of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, led by its national chairperson, Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, on an oversight and project monitoring tour, inspected several completed and ongoing projects across Bayo and Biu Local Government Areas.

‎Among the projects visited were a modern mini sports stadium with a seating capacity of over 1,000, police and DSS offices, markets, inter-city roads, and other infrastructural developments aimed at improving security, commerce, and youth engagement in the area.

‎Speaking during the inspection, Gambo Ali Mohammed, the Chairman of the Football Association in the state, commended the lawmaker for investing in sports development, noting that the stadium project would help discover and nurture talented young people in the locality.

‎The NAWOJ delegation described the projects as impactful interventions capable of improving socio-economic activities and boosting community development in the affected areas.
