Easter Message: Gov Umo Eno Urges Christians To Rise Above Challenges, Embrace Renewed Hope

At a time when many Nigerians are navigating uncertainty and hardship, the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has called on Christians to draw strength from the resurrection of Jesus Christ and rise above life’s challenges with renewed faith and hope.

Speaking during an Easter commemorative service at All Nations Christian Ministry International, Eket, Governor Eno described Christ’s death and resurrection as the ultimate victory for believers, emphasising that the season symbolises restoration, renewal, and divine assurance.

Delivering a message titled “The Restoration of Hope” from Luke 24:13–21, the governor, who also serves as the Undershepherd of the ministry, reminded worshippers that the resurrection of Christ offers enduring hope to all who believe.

He urged Christians not to be overwhelmed by present difficulties, stressing that with God on their side, no force can prevail against them.

According to him, there is no room for hopelessness in Christ, but rather power, revival, success, and joy.

Governor Eno further encouraged believers to remain attentive to God’s voice, noting that faith in God is central to restoration and well-being.

He added that Christ’s resurrection has restored identity, destiny, and honour, while dispelling fear, intimidation, and despair.

The Easter service featured praise, worship, choir ministrations, and prayers, and was attended by top government officials, clergy, and worshippers from across the state.

As Christians mark the season, the governor’s message underscores a central theme of Easter, rising above adversity with courage, faith, and the confidence that better days lie ahead.
