At Baby Dedication, Gov Eno Tells Youths: Let Diligence Open Doors
In a country where many young people are searching for opportunity, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno says diligence and commitment remain powerful keys to success.
The governor gave the message during the dedication of Baby Blossom Morgan Ekanem, daughter of Barr. Morgan Ekanem, his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties, at Victory Chapel, University of Uyo Township Campus, Uyo.
Speaking at the ceremony, Eno praised Ekanem for what he described as impressive dedication to service, saying his aide had consistently shown reliability and speed in carrying out assignments.
“We are here to celebrate a man who has shown diligence in what God has given him to do,” the governor said, adding that excellence in one’s duties can attract recognition and open doors.
He urged young people to distinguish themselves through hard work and commitment, noting that such values can improve livelihoods and drive positive development in society.
Eno also congratulated Ekanem and his wife on the birth and dedication of their daughter, praying for God’s continued grace upon the family.
In his remarks, Ekanem thanked the governor for attending the occasion and for the opportunity to serve in his administration.
Delivering the sermon on the theme, “You and Your Mother,” drawn from Proverbs 31:27, Rev. Iniobong Udoh stressed the vital role of mothers in the family and society.
He urged children, fathers and husbands to cherish and support mothers, describing them as protectors of their children’s destiny and key partners in building strong families.
The event drew top government officials, including Deputy Governor Akon Eyakenyi, Speaker Udeme Otong, Lady Helen Obareki, members of the State Executive Council, local government chairmen, clergy and other political figures.
