Tinubu’s Policies Begin To Bite, In A Good Way, Minister Idris Says
Just when many Nigerians wondered whether the promises of the Renewed Hope agenda would translate into real change, the Federal Government says the results are already taking shape, quietly, steadily, and more significantly than many realise.
During an interaction with All Progressives Congress (APC) support groups at Radio House, Abuja, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, painted a picture of a nation at the cusp of a turning point.
He spoke with the calm certainty of a man convinced that the foundations being laid today will define Nigeria’s future.
According to him, the Tinubu administration has “fulfilled many of our campaign promises,” citing the successful launch of the students’ loan scheme, the end of what he called “fuel subsidy corruption,” and improved financial inflows to states.
Local government autonomy, he stressed, “has come to stay,” while every region now has its own development commission.
Idris acknowledged what every Nigerian knows, that security remains the nation’s biggest test.
But he revealed that the President has approved fresh recruitment into both the Army and Police, alongside new support for state-owned security outfits.
These measures, he insisted, would mark “a turning point” in the fight against terrorism and banditry.
He described an economy that is shaking off the dust of stagnation: rebounding indicators, rising foreign reserves, dropping inflation, and infrastructure projects stretching across all six geo-political zones.
On youth empowerment, Idris said the administration has appointed an unprecedented number of young Nigerians to lead Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, which he argued is proof of Tinubu’s commitment to the next generation.
The Minister urged APC support groups to “stay united” and help amplify the successes of the administration, emphasising that the strength of the party lies in its collective resolve.
Leaders of the visiting groups, Mrs Adenike Abubakar and Dr Abiola Moshood, pledged unwavering support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
