NWFL Fixes New Date, Venue For 2025 Nationwide Championship

The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) has announced that the 2025 edition of its Nationwide Championship will now hold from October 10–17, 2025, at the Bwari Township Stadium, Abuja.

NWFL Chief Operating Officer, Modupe Shabi, confirmed that ten teams will compete in two groups of five, with the best two teams from each group earning promotion to the NWFL Championship.

Shabi described the tournament as a “vital platform for clubs across the country to showcase their potential and progress through the league system,” adding that the league is committed to making the event competitive, transparent, and successful.

The fixtures kick off on October 11, following team arrivals and a technical meeting on October 10.

Matches will be played on October 11, 13, 14, 16, and 17, with October 12 and 15 set aside as rest days.
Group A features Osklean FC, Rangers Women FC, Plateau Queens FC, DreamStars Ladies FC, and C2E Sports Academy.

Group B includes Sporting Angels FC, Alexander Queens FC, Rosaria Victrix FC, NAF Queens FC, and Solo Wonders FC.

The NWFL says it looks forward to “an exciting week of women’s football in the Federal Capital Territory.”
