RATTAWU Hails Tinubu for Reinstating NTA DG, Congratulates Management

The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU) has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reinstating Comrade Salihu Abdulhamid Dembos as Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

RATTAWU President, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu, popularly known as Magic Fingers, described the move as a clear show of confidence in Dembos, a veteran broadcaster and former President of the union.

He also commended the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris Malagi, and Presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga, for their roles in the reinstatement.

In a statement, RATTAWU congratulated Dembos, the Executive Director of News, and other reinstated directors, urging them to see their recall as “divine” and to continue serving the nation with dedication and excellence.

The union pledged continued collaboration with NTA, stressing its commitment to supporting the welfare of members and strengthening Nigeria’s media and cultural industries.
