FRSC Mourns Chief Audu Ogbeh, Pioneer National Coordinator Of Special Marshals
The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has described the death of Chief Audu Innocent Ogbeh as a “monumental loss” to Nigeria and the FRSC family.
Chief Ogbeh, a former Minister of Agriculture and the first National Coordinator of the FRSC Special Marshals, passed away after decades of distinguished public service.
In his condolence message, Mohammed hailed Ogbeh as a visionary who recognised early that saving lives on Nigeria’s roads required citizen participation. “His pioneering work in mobilising volunteer road safety advocates remains a reference point in our history,” he said.
The Corps Marshal praised Ogbeh’s lasting legacy in agriculture, governance, and road safety, noting that the volunteer scheme he helped establish in 1988 continues to thrive more than three decades later.
On behalf of FRSC officers, marshals, and volunteers nationwide, Mohammed extended condolences to the Ogbeh family, the Government and people of Benue State, and all Nigerians touched by his life.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of Ogbeh’s soul and strength for his family during this period of grief.
