Troops Intensify Anti-Terror Campaign In the North-East, Disrupt Insurgent Logistics, and Arrest Suspects.

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI have ramped up their offensives in Nigeria’s North-East, dealing fresh blows to insurgents and their support networks in a week-long push marked by daring raids, ambushes, and strategic arrests.

Between 15 and 22 July 2025, forces working in tandem with the Air Component, Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters carried out operations that led to the neutralisation of several terrorists, seizure of arms, and interception of vital logistics bound for Boko Haram and ISWAP camps.

Highlights include the arrest of seven suspected logistics suppliers in Adamawa, discovery of fuel smuggled in sacks along the Maiduguri Mafa road, and the capture of a man allegedly transporting Starlink equipment to insurgents.

Troops also apprehended a drug peddler en route to Damasak with large quantities of tramadol and diazepam.

Kinetic operations across Gwoza, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga saw soldiers foil multiple infiltration attempts, recover IED-making materials, and reclaim motorcycles, weapons, and RPG bombs. One night ambush in Kaga Local Government Area ended with a terrorist neutralised and several items recovered.

In a humanitarian twist, ten family members of terrorists surrendered to troops in Bama, citing a desperate need for safety. Meanwhile, a 15-year-old suspected informant was also apprehended during intelligence-led patrols.

On 22 July, acting on credible intel, troops intercepted a truck near Gamboru loaded with 12V batteries, solar panels, power inverters, gas regulators, fridges, and food supplies believed to be destined for terrorist camps.

Military authorities say the series of operations have severely disrupted insurgent logistics, weakened enemy capabilities, and reaffirmed their resolve to restore lasting peace to the region.
