NDLEA Boss, Gen. Marwa, Pays Heartfelt Tribute To Late President Buhari
Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd), has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a rare patriot and servant-leader who left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s history.
In a moving tribute, Gen. Marwa reflected on Buhari’s unwavering dedication to public service—both as a military Head of State and later as a democratically elected President.
He praised Buhari’s “quiet resolve,” integrity, and personal discipline, noting that his leadership helped steer the nation through some of its most trying times.
“His ability to inspire calm in uncertainty and his deep sense of responsibility to the people stood him apart,” Marwa said, recalling the late President’s efforts in restoring discipline in governance, pushing for security and stability, and advancing reforms in infrastructure and agriculture.
Gen. Marwa also lauded Buhari’s humility, strong faith, and enduring concern for the common Nigerian. “He remained a man of principle, guided by a moral compass and genuine love for the country.”
As the nation mourns, Marwa extended heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, praying for strength and comfort in their moment of grief. “May the Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant the soul of our departed leader Al-Jannah Firdaus,” he added.
The tribute stands as a powerful reminder of the legacy Buhari leaves behind—one that, in Marwa’s words, “will continue to inspire generations to come.”
