Power Crisis: IGP Disu, Minister Unite Against Vandalism, Electricity Theft
The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has pledged stronger police action against power infrastructure vandalism and electricity theft following a meeting with the Minister of Power, Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The minister sought deeper collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force to protect critical power assets, strengthen surveillance and crack down on criminals sabotaging the nation’s electricity supply.
IGP Disu assured the delegation of the Force’s commitment to safeguarding national infrastructure, improving energy security and ensuring offenders are brought to justice.
