Troops Intercept Suspected Terrorist Supplier, Seize 150 Combat Boots In Zamfara
Efforts to dismantle the supply chains sustaining terrorism in Nigeria’s North-West have recorded another breakthrough as troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA arrested a suspected logistics supplier transporting military-style equipment in Zamfara State.
The suspect was apprehended during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Sokoto-Gusau Road on Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
Troops intercepted a Honda Civic vehicle and uncovered 150 pairs of combat boots concealed alongside tactical items, including three jackknives, three electric shockers, a tear gas canister, a military beret and a belt.
Security personnel also recovered two Android phones, an iPad and a digital wristwatch, all of which are expected to support ongoing intelligence and forensic investigations.
Military authorities described the seizure as a major disruption of the logistics network supporting terrorists and armed bandits, noting that cutting off supply routes is vital to weakening criminal groups and preventing future attacks.
The suspect remains in military custody while investigations continue, as Operation FANSAN YAMMA intensifies efforts to restore peace and security across Zamfara and the wider North-West.
