Eid-al-Adha: Information Minister Urges Nigerians To Embrace Sacrifice, Unity
As Nigerians prepare to celebrate Eid-al-Adha, the Federal Government has called on citizens to reflect on the values of sacrifice, compassion and national unity amid ongoing efforts to build a more secure and prosperous country.
In a goodwill message to Muslim faithful, the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, said the sacred festival symbolises faith, obedience and devotion to Allah, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS).
He urged Nigerians to use the season to pray for peace, stability and progress, while also extending love and support to the less privileged irrespective of ethnic, religious or political differences.
The minister reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration to delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda and improving the lives of citizens through inclusive governance and national development.
Idris further prayed for peace, joy and prosperity across the country, expressing hope that Allah would accept the prayers and sacrifices of the faithful.
